What we collect

How your data is used
Your budget answers and the expenses you type or describe are sent to an AI provider to be parsed into a structured amount, description, and category — that's how "$15 on coffee" becomes a logged expense in the right place. This happens through a server we control; the AI provider only sees the text needed to do that one task, never your account credentials.
We don't run ads, and we don't use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. We don't sell your data to anyone, for any reason.
Where it's stored
Your data lives in a Supabase-hosted database, protected by row-level security so your account can only ever read or write its own data — not even Topaz's backend can query across accounts through the normal app pathways. Early-access signups from this website are stored separately, in a Cloudflare database used only to issue and look up your discount code.
You can delete everything, anytime. Account deletion is available directly in the app under Settings. It permanently removes your profile, budget, and every expense you've logged — there's no separate request process.
Your choices
- Edit or delete your budget categories and expenses at any time from within the app.
- Delete your entire account and all associated data from Settings.
- Contact us (below) with any privacy question or request.

The app
Topaz helps you build and track a personal budget using AI. It's a planning and tracking tool, not financial, tax, or investment advice — decisions about your money are yours to make.
Your account
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping access to your email or Google account secure, since that's how Topaz confirms it's you.
Acceptable use
Use Topaz for its intended purpose — tracking your own personal budget and expenses. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, access another user's data, or use the app for anything unlawful.
AI-generated content
Budgets and categorizations Topaz suggests are generated by AI and can be wrong — you can always correct a category or edit an amount, and we'd encourage you to review anything before relying on it.
Early access
Signing up on this website reserves a 20% Premium discount, redeemable once the app launches using the same email. It does not create an account or charge you anything now.
Changes
We may update these terms or the app itself as Topaz evolves. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date above.
Ending your use
You can stop using Topaz and delete your account at any time from Settings, with no further obligation.
